Everything about Riftbound Origins

The first Riftbound set, released October 2025, defined the foundation of the League of Legends TCG: 27 founding Champions, 298 regular cards in the standard pool plus overnumbered, and the Proving Grounds as the ideal starter kit. At Otakura, every Origins product is in stock — including the Riftbound Origins Booster Box, all three Champion Decks, and the Proving Grounds.

What is Riftbound Origins?

Riftbound Origins (Set One) is the first official set in the Riftbound TCG line, released October 31, 2025 in English (August 1, 2025 in Chinese). The set introduced the game's core mechanics: the four card types (Battlefield, Spell, Gear, Unit), rune combinations, and the founding roster of 27 Champions. Origins is the ideal entry point for learning Riftbound — many of these Champions appear here for the first time in physical card format.

The 27 founding Champions in Origins

Origins introduces 27 Champions from the classic League of Legends roster:

Featured (dedicated Champion Decks):

  • Viktor — control mage, spell-tech synergy
  • Jinx — aggro/burst, high offensive output
  • Lee Sin — combat fighter, gear synergy

Other Champions in the set: Ahri, Anivia, Blitzcrank, Caitlyn, Darius, Draven, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Kai'Sa, Leona, Malzahar, Miss Fortune, Qiyana, Sett, Sona, Taric, Teemo, Tryndamere, Udyr, Vayne, Vi, Volibear, Warwick, Yasuo.

Every Champion includes Legend Rare cards plus alternate art versions for collectors. The set's pool exposes introductory yet rich mechanics, with archetypes spanning aggro (Jinx, Tryndamere), control (Viktor, Heimerdinger), midrange (Lee Sin, Sett), and gear specialization.

Origins Booster Box (24 packs)

The Riftbound Origins Booster Box contains 24 sealed packs for a total of 336 cards. It's the most cost-effective way to get broad coverage of the 298-card regular pool plus chase cards (overnumbered). Standard Riftbound pull rates: 2 alternate art guaranteed per box, 1 Overnumbered every 3 boxes, 1 Signature Overnumbered every 30 boxes. The Origins Booster Box is the right choice for collectors and competitive players who want maximum card pool from the founding set. View product. See all Booster Boxes: Booster Box hub.

Origins Proving Grounds and Champion Decks

Origins is the only Riftbound set that includes the Proving Grounds: the true 2-player starter kit with two pre-built decks, illustrated rules, Battlefield counters, and everything needed to learn the game with a friend. Riot has not released a Proving Grounds for any subsequent set.

For players who prefer a single-Champion ready-to-play deck, Origins offers three dedicated Champion Decks: Viktor, Jinx, and Lee Sin. There's also a Bundle Starter that includes Viktor + Jinx + Lee Sin in a single purchase. View all Riftbound starter decks.

Origins card list and chase cards

Origins features 298 regular cards plus overnumbered cards (numbered above 298) plus Signature Overnumbered. The complete card list is browsable on community databases like riftbound.gg and piltoverarchive.com.

Among the most hunted chase cards in the set:

  • The 12 Champion alternate art (the main Champions in full-art versions with hexagonal foil, ~2 guaranteed per box)
  • Overnumbered cards with exclusive artwork from Riot's own artists (~1 every 3 boxes)
  • Signature Overnumbered with artist signature in the serial number (~1 every 30 boxes, ~1 in 360 packs)

Is Origins still in print?
